Research informs us of key turning-points in child development that require particular attention. For instance, what happens before a child is born can affect her life trajectory, and when a child is at grade-level in reading and math through his elementary school years, he will have a much better chance of graduating high school.
ROC the Future is a collaborative community initiative dedicated to ensuring all children receive the opportunities and support they need, from before birth to after graduation. These include essential elements for healthy growth like quality learning experiences, physical activity & play, and the encouragement of nurturing caregivers who also have sufficient support.
The Children's Agenda acts as one of more than 30 conveners for ROC the Future and provides leadership and backbone staffing (5 of the staff of The Children's Agenda are dedicated to ROC the Future) for the initiative.

The Children’s Agenda advocates for effective policies and drives evidenced-based solutions for the health, education and success of children. We are especially committed to children who are vulnerable because of poverty, racism, health disparities and trauma.
