The Children’s Agenda produced fact sheets to give child care advocates, lawmakers and community members information about the state of child care in New York State in 2024. Data were analyzed by county and include information on the child care assistance program, the child care workforce, and the average cost of care for families in need of child care. This fact sheet is intended to provide a general profile on child care in communities around the state.
Due to its complexity and operational differences from the rest of the state, fact sheets were not produced for New York City, though we hope to do so in the future.
