New York’s funding for pre-K education is not keeping up with inflation, according to a new report.

New York’s Board of Regents has set a goal of providing pre-K to all 4-year-old children by 2030, and pre-K to all 3-year-old children by 2035. And there’s a reason for that: 90% of a child’s brain develops during those two crucial years before they enter kindergarten.

Eamonn Scanlon, director of community impact at the Children’s Agenda, spoke with Capital Tonight’s Susan Arbetter.
