Pittsford, N.Y. — The Children’s Agenda hosted a candidates forum Wednesday night.
The organization, which advocates for children through policy changes, asked people running for Monroe County Executive as well as for several Monroe County Legislature seats to participate.
The event drew a large crowd at the Schottland Family YMCA in Pittsford.
Larry Marx, CEO of The Children’s Agenda, said issues like childcare access and affordability, prevention of child abuse, and expansion of early intervention and preschool special education top many voters’ priorities.
“Children and family issues are what matter most, so you’re seeing a great turnout tonight, and we expect a great turnout on Election Day, too, to vote for children and families,” Marx said.
